My Story

A Journey Through Art

Coming from an artistic family, creativity has always been the core of my existence. Both my parents have been deeply involved in art, while my sister chose the path of architecture, shaping structures that are as much about form as they are about function. Growing up
surrounded by beautiful objects and witnessing the magic of materials coming together, I found myself inspired every day. The ability to create, to bring pieces together into something meaningful—this is what ignited the fire within me.
Though I am self-taught, the desire to express myself through art was never something that needed to be learned from a formal institution. It was instinctive.

I was driven by an innate urge to create timeless objects—pieces that could evoke emotions and connect with people on a deeper level. Every form I craft is meant to speak to something beyond its physical existence, a reflection of my search for beauty, value, and feeling.
My work often revolves around three powerful materials—wood, stone, and steel. These raw elements possess their own unique qualities, yet when combined, they tell a new, harmonious story. The warmth of wood, the earthiness of stone, and the strength of steel
come together to form something more than just an object. They become a symbol of creativity, a message, a piece of art that carries meaning beyond what is seen on the surface.

For me, creating isn’t just about building objects. It’s about creating something that resonates with the soul, a piece that feels timeless and significant. I strive to make works of art that hold value—not just in their material worth, but in the feelings they evoke and the stories they tell.
Through my journey as a self-taught artist, I’ve come to realize that the true power of creation lies in its ability to move and inspire.

Inspired by nature

natural materials

As an artist, I strive to work with recycled materials as much as possible. Old wooden beams or tables, discarded parts and leftover pieces of steel are given a second life in my work.

By choosing this method, I consciously try to focus on upcycling: reusing existing materials to make unique, new creations. In this way, each work of art not only carries a story, but also an ecological awareness.

harmony with nature

I try to be guided as much as possible by the balance and beauty of nature. I try to respect wooden pieces as they are formed by incorporating knots or cracks into the artwork. By working with natural materials such as wood, stone and steel I seek the connection with its surroundings in this digital world.

Each work is an attempt to capture and honor the peace, rhythm and simplicity of nature not to control it, but to work with it.

passion & commitment

My sculptures are created with a deep passion and commitment to craftsmanship, each piece reflecting my personal journey and artistic exploration. I specialize in the ancient Japanese technique of Shou-sugi-ban, where wood is charred to reveal its unique textures and patterns. This process not only enhances the natural beauty of the wood but also preserves it, adding depth and a sense of timelessness to my creations.

Through the art of Shou-sugi-ban, I aim to capture the intricate relationship between fire and nature, transforming raw material into something both rugged and refined.

Each sculpture tells its own story, from the charred surface to the smooth contours, symbolizing resilience, transformation, and the harmony of elements.

I pour my heart and soul into every piece, striving to create works that resonate with viewers on a deeper, emotional level. My sculptures are not just objects; they are expressions of energy, craftsmanship, and a profound connection to nature.

All in the family

Every work of art is created with patience, attention and time. As an artist I take the space to listen to the material and to feel the material as it is. To let it speak, to feel what it needs. Sometimes a work asks for a standstill, to wait a moment until the right balance presents itself. Only then, in that balance between intuition and consideration, does the work continue to grow.

My works are self designed and carefully thought out. I try to achieve a balance between different materials and colours which sometimes takes time. My end goal is to create something with added value that can be viewed on different levels. For some people it is the beauty of the piece, for others it is the playful character the colours or the emotions it brings.
